Golden Jubilee

We gratefully acknowledge and trace the genesis of our unique Society to a small group of visionaries. They had dreamt a dream of ideal living – physically, mentally and spiritually – as an integrated whole. They hailed from the Sylhet district of East Bengal, and suffering the pangs of a political partition they flocked together under the able and inspiring stewardship of Shri Kshitish Chandra Chaudhuri, – a retired Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of Government of India who had later also been the Vice Chancellor of Visva-Bharati at Santiniketan.

On the threshold of the Golden Jubilee year of it’s birth, the 483 members of The Navadarsha Co-operative Housing Society enjoy the gift of the Magi with 60.72 acres of land adorned with varied flora, dotted with beautiful placid ponds, a primary school, a library, twin temples of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali, a Community Hall and an administrative office of the Society.

We are proud to have journeyed for half a century now as one large extended family, practically an embodiment of the age-old concept of ‘Basudhaiva Kutumbakam’. We are blessed to be able to live in an urban oasis of endless greenery, breathing in a precious absolutely pollution free clear environment.

As for amenities, – we now have banking facility at our doorstep with a State Bank of India Branch with ATM as well as an Axis Bank ATM on the campus, while a Sub-Post office is poised to start functioning soon.

We invite you all, – to appreciate the evolution of this Society through half a century around it’s ethos of ‘Basudhaiva Kutumbakam’, – and join hands in that spirit to be a contributing partner in commemorating the yearlong Golden Jubilee celebrations beginning 23rd January 2014. We also address the non-resident persons at our extended ‘Navadarsha’ family all over the country and beyond and call upon them to be a part of this great celebration.

To commemorate this occasion, we shall also publish a ‘Golden Jubilee Year Souvenir’ depicting rich cultural traditions, history and more of this unique Society. This Souvenir is expected to be an asset to be preserved by the member families of Navadarsha as well as many others. It shall therefore be an ideal medium to disseminate everything about interested advertisers’ product and services.

We solicit your kind co-operation to make our dream venture successful.

An Appeal

It’s an appeal to all our friends and relatives, who are away from Navadarsha but deeply connected to their roots, to come forward and share their contribution to make the Golden Jubilee celebration bigger and better. Thank You.Please contribute >>
