To promote sporting and cultural activities among the residents “Srimantapur Anandam’ was formed on January 23, 1981 with Late Kanai Lal Dutta as President, Late A R Das as Vice President, Sri Sujoy Dutta Choudhury as Secretary and Sri Deba Prasad Dutta as the Treasurer. Sri Swapan Kr Saha is now the President, Sri Mrityunjoy Kundu, the Vice President and Sri Tridib Dutta Choudhury is both the Secretary as well as Treasurer.
